About me

Started Knifemaking in 1993, under the guidance of Thomas Gerner in WA.

I prefer forging blades in high carbon steel or my own damascus, and like hidden tang knives with Australian Hardwood handles.

The Tharwa Valley Forge has been running classes since 2005 in knifemaking, sharpening, blacksmithing and damascus steel making.

I take orders for custom knives, as well as sharpening and repair services.

I found getting affordable carbon steel really difficult as a knifemaker, so now I order it in bulk, cut it up and resell it for those wanting smaller amounts.
