500 Knives Call for Entries: Spread the Word! PDF Print E-mail
Lark Books, a publishing company that is owned by Barnes & Noble would like to invite you to submit images to be considered for publication in a new book, 500 Knives. Lark been producing a high-quality series of "500" books for many years. Please visit our website at www.larkbooks.com if you wish to see samples.

We seek images of outstanding handmade knives, daggers, folding knives, tomahawks, swords, hunting knives, forged blades, and other implements for publication in a juried collection of international studio metalwork. Diverse design styles, materials, and techniques are desired. Submission to the book is free; you need only furnish images and an entry form. John L. Jensen, a custom knifemaker, will be the book's juror.

Our goal in producing this book is to document the work of today's great custom makers and to gain even more exposure for the field of fine knifemaking. Our books have incredible distribution both in the US and abroad, and can be found at most bookstores, libraries, Internet retailers, and museum shops. Priced at $24.99, they are accessible to most consumers. Over the years, the 500 books have proven to be not only popular, but a great source of education and inspiration for the public.

G’day. I hope you had an enjoyable Christmas and New Year break, and none of you broke your credit cards. I always lock mine in the safe, the joys of being an impulse buyer.

Regrettably, due to an illness in the family, Sandie has resigned her position on the committee. On behalf of the Guild, I would like to pass on our best wishes to Sandie and her family. Sandie is still looking after the membership renewals, so these can be sent to her. Adam and I will be looking after everything else until the A.G.M, so please direct everything else to one of us.
